To be eligible for trade-in, your laptop or desktop must be no more than 6 years old (from manufacture date). Please see Does my old laptop or desktop qualify for Trade-in? FAQ for qualifying criteria of your trade-in device.
To find out the year of manufacture of your trade-in device, please follow these simple steps:
My trade-in device is a Windows-based laptop or desktop.
• To find out the date of your PC, please visit your manufacturer's website and insert your device's serial number to view its manufacture date.
• Alternatively, you will need to install on your trade-in device Microsoft's official tool 'Windows PC Health Check' (How to use the PC Health Check app ) which, once launched, will allow you to verify its age.
My trade-in device is an Apple device
• From the Apple menu in the upper-left corner of the screen, select 'About this Mac'.
• At the 'Overview' screen, look under the model name to find the year of manufacture and serial number of your device. For example: MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017).
Please note: the BIOS date doesn't always correspond with the manufacture date. We recommend checking the information with your manufacturer.
